This historic landmark is amazing. The food is great, service is great, the vibe is awesome. Please go to CV. It's the best. I wish I lived closer BUT it's worth the drive from the east San Gabriel Valley.

I was in town for a visit and my manager suggested meeting here for lunch. So, we did. My wife and I had seen the restaurant on TV and in a movie. It's an iconic spot and the food is just as good as you want it to be. The cheese enchilada and ground beef taco were all time favorites!! The shredded beef enchilada was very good. Service is on point. They don't miss a thing here. Would certainly go back!

My Mexican dreams came true finally visiting Casa Vega last month. It may be basic, but it hits. It's the perfect valley spot for the classic Mexican feast - everything is brown and yellow, the atmosphere is popping, and the vibes are traditional. You can't beat it! The staff was nice enough to give us four free margaritas for waiting past our scheduled reservation time. The margs weren't as good as El Coyote, but the gesture was nice. I went with the good ole fashion combination plate - enchilada, taco, and the lot. It was pretty solid and left me satisfied. It's definitely a must if you are an LA native and haven't been to Casa Vega. The food may not blow you away - it's far from fine dining - yet there's a tradition that simply can't be matched by many other restaurants.

CASA VEGA, ES UNA CASA DE ESPERANZA PARA MI! Circa 2009 to 2012, I lived a couple of blocks away from Casa Vega and I was a regular. I'm back in the Valley and the first place I went to, on my first day back, was to Casa Vega! Food and atmosphere are still great! Service still fantastic! Tonight I forced myself to eat (I've had a loss of appetite, since The Villain announced he wanted a divorce) . I ordered the Chopped Taco Salad. It was just what needed! I ate every bit! Unlimited homemade chips and salsa, are still on menu and such a treat! They have a new brunch menu, which means, I'll be back for brunch very soon!

Originally opened in 1956 Casa Vega is certainly one of the more famous Mexican restaurants in the valley, and I would say one of the better ones. It has a lot of connections to movies and shows so a lot of people know about it even before stopping in. It is a bit pricey compared to other Mexican restaurants, but not by that much. They don't have self parking, it is valet only but there are plenty of street metered spaces available surrounding the restaurant. We were able to find one right out front for a 7PM Saturday dinner. Our server was extremely polite, was very fast with a drink refills, and overall he did a great job. They have a very large menu with pretty much all of the classics on it. I started off with the Chile Con Queso Soup, and it was honestly really good and very cheesy. Next we shared the Chicharrónes and we both especially liked the verde sauce that came with it. We also ordered the table side Guacamole and as expected it was really good and went fast. For my entrée I chose the Carne Chile Colorado and really enjoyed it. It's been one of my favorite Mexican dishes since childhood so I have had it tons of times. I switched to flour tortillas which I feel is a better combo with the steak. It had great flavors so I would order it again next time and would recommend it. Overall a solid and famous Mexican restaurant with great ambience in the valley. I don't go to the valley often, but would certainly stop in again next time I am up that way, and would recommend to anyone who is close by as well.

The food was great I tried something different this time! The pollo asado and it was very tender and juicy! I'm happy I tried something different this time than what I usually order. The service was phenomenal which is why I'm giving it a 5 star this time. Our server Evan was really good and personable, usually the service is not that great with veteran servers that work here. We sat outside for the first time and it was beautiful! Felt like I was on a vacation, the decor was perfect for the ambiance. Inside is just too dark I hope they turn up the lights a little more cuz it feels like your in a Halloween maze. However, just go outside it will make you feel better. Overall, I like Casa Vega, been coming for years! I just wish they will update the restrooms and inside too. The restrooms are really small maybe just a tad bmore space will be good!
